Here is a cool post from Fabrizio Giudici’s Blog about using the Wiimote as a control in WorldWind Java.
A few days before the summer break, at JUG Genova I was able to attend one of the most amusing meetings of the year. Gianpaolo Melis showed how to control NASA World Wind with a Wii remote control (not used as you would expect: the remote control was lying on a table, and Gianpaolo just put a few LEDs on his hands – the remote control detected the hands gestures and translated into control commands for the WWJ viewer). He also showed the capability of controlling the application with vocal commands. A pretty good presentation of some of the less used Java APIs (BTW, to read the Wii remote control bluetooth APIs were used).
Pretty nifty.
