Charles Darwin’s voyage Add-On for NASA WorldWind
“The object of the expedition was to complete the survey of Patagonia and Tierra del Fuego, commenced under Captain King in 1826 to 1830, — to survey the shores of Chile, Peru, and of some islands in the Pacific — and to carry a chain of chronometrical measurements round the World.” – Charles Darwin.
This Add-on shows Charles Darwin’s voyage on board Her Majesty’s ship Beagle, a ten-gun brig, under the command of Captain Fitz Roy.
Description
Each icon has a clickable link, mouse-over information with the date, and a brief description of the voyage at that point is displayed near the bottom of the screen (figure-1). The route is colour coded in the following chronological order – Hotpink, Greenyellow, Dodgerblue, Green, Red and Blueviolet.

Installation
To install the Add-on click the following link Worldwind_1.3_Darwin_1.1.exe and select save in your web browser. Once the download is complete double-click the icon (figure-2) on your desktop, or if you chose a different location to save the file navigate there, follow the on-screen prompts and when installation is complete run World Wind.

Next click The Voyage of H.M.S. Beagle icon in the World Wind toolbar (figure-3), this will turn on the Add-on.
